Neighborhood Watch Program
The Bixby Police Department and the citizens of Bixby have worked together to establish a strong city wide Neighborhood Watch Program. The program covers approximately eighty-five (85%) of the city limits. This program has enabled Bixby to have one of the lowest crime rates in the Tulsa metropolitan area. We have experienced excellent participation from the citizens, which continues to make this program very successful. The program consists of how to report crimes, protecting your property, and getting to know your neighbors. The Department utilizes the City Watch System to notify specific neighborhoods that are affected by crimes with suspect information. By having citizens that are well informed, we hope to maintain the lowest crime rate in Tulsa County. If you would like more information on how to set up a neighborhood watch program in your area, please contact Sgt. Andy Choate at the Bixby Police Department at (918) 366-8294.
Business Crime Watch
The Bixby Police Department has established a Business Crime Watch Program to help reduce crime that would affect the local merchants. This program covers how to detect counterfeit money, check and credit card fraud, building security, and what to do in the event of a robbery. The department sets up individual meetings with each business as desired. We assist each business on a one-to-one basis to address their needs. The City Watch Program can be very beneficial to our business community. If you would like more information on this program, please contact Sgt. Andy Choate at the Bixby Police Department at (918) 366-8294.

Project Under 21
The Bixby Police Department is currently working with area retailers in conjunction with personnel with the Oklahoma Restaurant Association. This combined effort is to help educate retailers and persons who handle the sale of alcoholic beverages. Bixby is participating in the statewide program "Project Under 21".
The goal of Project Under 21 is to stop the purchase and use of alcoholic beverages by those persons under the age of 21. Project under 21 is a nationally funded grant in Oklahoma. The way Project under 21 works is by educating the retailers and business owners on the state's liquor laws as well as how to spot a Fake ID and stopping third-party sales. Along with the education program, the retailer and persons under 21 are checked for compliance of the state law. Persons or business owners that participate in this project are provided booklets, posters, buttons, and other items to be used by the employer to help promote this state project.
Businesses that wish to have more information on this project, please contact Sgt. Andy Choate at the Bixby Police Department at (918) 366-8294.
