Administration

Administrative Captain

Captain James Kite, a 12-year veteran of the Bixby Police Department, promoted up the ranks to his current position. He spent the first five years of his career in Patrol as a Patrol Officer, then to Patrol Supervisor. He transferred to the Detective Division in 2000 and worked as a Detective and Detective Supervisor until his most recent transfer/promotion as the Department's Administrative Captain in 2006. While assigned to the Detective Division, he worked on the FBI's "Innocent Images" Task Force. This task force is made up of city, county, and federal police officers and investigators all across the country investigating on-line child pornography and exploitation. Captain Kite holds a B.S. in Criminal Justice Administration form Mid-America Christian University in Oklahoma City. He served in the Oklahoma Air National Guard 138th Security Police in Tulsa from 1989 to 1997 and most recently with the U.S. Navy Reserve 263rd Embarked Security Detachment in Broken Arrow.

Sargeant Andrew Choate #115

Sgt. Choate has been a member of the Bixby Police Department since 1998. Sgt. Choate comes from a law enforcement family and came to Bixby after serving 5 years as a Police Officer For the State of Oklahoma. Sgt. Choate formally was the Head of the Detective Division and now serves as the Patrol Sergeant. Sgt. Choate strives to ensure that the department's vision and mission is carried out on a daily basis. Sgt. Choate is a 1997 graduate of the State of Oklahoma Criminal Investigations Academy. Sgt. Choate also holds an Advance law enforcement certification through the Oklahoma Council on Law Enforcement Education and Training. Sgt. Choate also served for the last 4 years with the FBI task force where he was trained and investigated several federal crimes to include on-line child exploitation. Sgt. Choate further serves as Bixby's Community Service Officer where he organizes and assists with the development of Neighborhood and Business Watch groups.


Patrol Supervisor

Corporal Jim White has been with Bixby Police Department since July 1999. Prior to his employment, Jim spent three years with Tulsa County Sheriff's Department. Jim has an associate degree in Administration of Justice. Jim enjoys being part of a growing community that Bixby has become.


Patrol Supervisor

Corporal Andrew Long, a four-year veteran of the Bixby Police Department, began his career as a Patrol Officer. He is currently finishing his B.S. degree in Criminal Justice Management and Ethics at Mid-America Christian University. Prior to coming the department, he served four years in the United States Marine Corps. For the past nine years, he has served in the United States Army Reserve. He has been deployed four times during his service to our country including a tour in the Persian Gulf, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Hungary, and Afganistan.
